Are you a one woman band, a micro business owner, an entrepreneur passionate about your product or service but unsure how to move forward, how to grow whilst spinning all those plates and staying sane?

  • Are you surviving - but only just?

  • Do you feel like someone is going to catch you out?

  • Do you often feel overwhelmed by everything you have to do?

  • Do you wonder if you’re running your microbusiness the right way?

  • Do you wonder what you should be prioritising and when?

  • Do you feel a bit stuck unable to press play on yourself and your business?

When you run your own business, you have to be the CEO plus the frontline worker plus the admin and new business development manager.

When you run your own business it is easy to become overwhelmed, to wonder how the beejesus you can do it all!

I know this because I’m one of you.

Hi, I'm Sarah Knight. I’ve been spinning those blinking plates for 20 years and now I have built proven effective strategies to stay sane and keep my business fit and healthy too.

I know this because I have been where you are now. I have run my own business for 20 years and now I work with microbusinesses and entrepreneurs to stay sane and build the business of their dreams.

I get the waking up at 3am remembering the stuff you need to do, should do and want to do but have no idea what to prioritise when and who is going to do it all.

If you are not looking after you then your business can’t succeed. If you are close to burnout your business is going to suffer. You have to look after you. FACT.

And then there’s your baby, your passion...yes I am talking about your business. How do you grow it, evolve it and make sure it is fit for purpose. You follow a formula, you get business fit. It really is that simple.

And that's exactly why I created...

Your Growth Space Offer is the perfect pairing for managing your sanity, your self-belief, your wellbeing and building, growing and evolving your business.

Your Growth Space Offer includes both the Press Play on You course and the MicroBusiness Bootcamp course.

Press Play on You looks at how you can help you and MicroBusiness Bootcamp helps you realistically plan, grow and develop your passion.

These two courses combined are the perfect pairing for managing your sanity, your self-belief, your wellbeing and building, growing and evolving your business. They go together like tea and biscuits, coffee and cake or (my favourite) fizz and friends.

They have been designed to help the female led micro business succeed whilst making sure you are looking after your own wellbeing too.

By taking these two courses you are first of all putting the beating heart of the business centre stage - that’s you. And secondly you are then ensuring that your business is fit and healthy and ready to grow.

  • A step by step guide to sanity, to a wellbeing prescription that will help you thrive combined with a ten step programme to get your business fighting fit.

  • It’s simple, it’s effective, it’s full of practical guidance and specific tools and direction that you can use straight away, week on week.

  • It is a practical nuts and bolts guide to success.

COURSE 1: Press Play on You
Overview

  • Module 1: Get To Know You

How well do you really know you? In module one you will undertake your audit of you so you know what makes you tick, or makes you pause.

  • Module 2: Self Awareness

How we think and feel about our self guides all of our responses to our behaviours and actions. It’s one of the core competencies in emotional intelligence. If you don’t have self-awareness then no matter how smart you are, success is gonna be tricky. We look at how we talk to ourselves and how we can be our own cheerleader.

  • Module 3: Self Management

Emotions don’t just happen to us, we have a choice, we can do something about them. It’s about choice. In this module we look at our choices and how we can create realistic, healthy habits to put ourselves first (just for a little bit).

  • Module 4: Press Play

How do you stop yourself procrastinating on pause. In this module I share the best trick I have learnt to help me press play, to help me write this course on a Sunday, to crack on.

  • Module 5: Routine Rules

What is your routine? What should it be to help build and aid your mental wellbeing?

  • Module 6: Reasons to Believe

It’s time to step up and face that imposter syndrome. It’s time to stop letting that inner critic win and overwhelm you. This module tells you how.

  • Module 7: Your Stress Cycle

Did you know you have to complete your stress cycle every day to stop yourself burning out? Did you know there is even a stress cycle? Did you know there is scientific based evidence on the simple, practical applications you can do to complete your daily stress cycle and minimise your chances of burn out?

  • Module 8: Your Comfort Zone of Growth

Do one thing every day that scares you..NOPE. Why o Why would I write a course all about reducing our stress levels so we can thrive and then tell you all to jump out of your comfort zone straight into your fear zone. In this module we bask in our comfort zone and look at how we can grow there within Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

  • Module 9: Practice Makes Perfect

No no no no and no. Practice makes progression. Perfection is so 1990s. Let’s be real and look at what we should practice, how we should practice and how often so we can grow, evolve and run our businesses as thriving entrepreneurs.

  • Module 10: Your Wellbeing Prescription

This is it. You’ve done it. In Module 10, you will refer back to your audit, to your strengths, your emotions and you will commit to cracking on and putting you first so you are looking after your mindset, your mojo and your mental wellbeing. You will write your own wellbeing prescription to help you thrive.

COURSE 2: Microbusiness Bootcamp
Overview

  • Module 1

We look at your business mindset, are you ready to get business fit? What is your personal impact and what are your fabulous strengths that will supercharge your business. Within this module you create your ‘WorldBuilding Statement’ and sense check your values against your business. You are the beating heart of your business so it has to work for you.

  • Module 2

Do you know your WHY? Unpick your why and the how becomes really easy. Your why is at the very heart of your business. It’s the cornerstone of your business model. Your why is the key influencer when it comes to the growth of your business. Your why sets your intention for your business.

  • Module 3

Once you have uncovered your why and checked it still works for you today, we look at your single truth. Understand your single truth and everything in every layer of your business aligns with that single truth.

  • Module 4

Let’s talk Strategy. Let’s talk about creating a customer focused strategy. What is your strategy? How do you even define it? Relax my friends a strategy is just a grand word for a big old plan so within this module we sense check your plan, where you are now, where you want to ne and how you are going to get there and then we break it down into manageable chunks. Simple when you know how.

  • Module 5

Do you know your audience - really know your audience? This is a key module. This is the module that defines your growth, your way forward. We look at your key audience personas, the promises you can make to your audience and how you can and should talk to them?

  • Module 6

Let’s get official. Do you have contracts? Do you draft a scope of work? Do you have terms and conditions? Can you identify bad clients/customers? Do you know when to walk away? Do you know when and how to say NO. We cover all this and more in module 6.

  • Module 7

Time therapy. Let’s talk time management. You are your business and there are only so many hours in the day. How are you planning your time? When are you switching off? This is a workshop I run regularly with freelancers and entrepreneurs and have such fabulous feedback. It’s a good ‘un for business health.

  • Module 8

Collaboration and community. Do you network? Where is your community? We no longer live in a world where we should play our cards close to our chest. We live in a world where there is power and strength in community - and influencers. I touch a little on influencer outreach here.

  • Module 9

Your comms plan. Where is your audience playing? Where do they go to find the answers to their questions. Do you know what questions your audience is asking? Once you know the questions and you know your audience (see module 5) it’s really blinking easy to figure out what your comms plan is. Let’s keep it simple.

  • Module 10

What does success look like for you? And breaking news - it is never just about money. This final module looks at the Fifteen Signs to help you assess “How will you know when you’ve arrived?”

Fiona Steggles

Journalist & Media Trainer

I did this course when I thought I really didn’t have time. I was up to my ears in work, stressed and with a to-do list as long as my arm. Sarah’s mentoring forced me to take just a short amount of time out for myself, to reflect during a very busy work period, and I am a healthier, happier person as a result. Sarah has a practical and very realistic attitude about what can be achieved and sets sensible small goals that do make a difference. She’s also easy to chat to, and we laughed a lot. I thoroughly recommend her training courses.

Sarah, you have made a ginormous difference to our culture and team as our on-hand ‘Life Coach’ and all-round human skills guru. You have a unique style, warmth, humour and insight that only 20+ years in the wonderful world of PR & comms can create and you impart it (across all sectors/ businesses) with wisdom and relatability.

Few people have the opportunity to report to a manager who is also a coach, mentor, friend but I did when I met Sarah 8 years ago. She went from my boss to someone I’m currently collaborating with on several training projects and in-between has always been my sounding board at the end of the phone, email and of course, over a glass of wine. She has coached me through some tough decisions as well as helping me to find the balance between working full time and having toddler twins.

The course was eye-opening and Sarah held some honest, and most importantly, fun conversations. Sarah taught us to focus on the small wins, and dig deep to find the ‘true’ reason for what we wanted to achieve. She enabled us to think about the small steps and daily changes that we could all take to look after ourselves better. I would highly recommend working with Sarah.

Sarah provided an insight into tools for making the most of your day and getting things done. (Spoiler: do them!) It has offered me some great tips personally and also for my work and in my family, to take some of the stress out of the never ending to-do list.

Top FAQ's

  • Are these courses really for me?

Yes, if you give yourself permission to take some small actionable steps every week for ten weeks. If you complete all of the modules, worksheets, and training inside the course, you will have techniques, strategies and habit hacks to help you grow, help you stay sane and develop and evolve your business. You will create your own wellbeing prescription and you will have a toolkit of techniques that you can tailor to suit your business. You will have put your business through its paces and you will feel confident it is in good shape for future growth. I can't guarantee exact results. But I do guarantee that the individuals that work with me have brilliant results personally and professionally.

  • What if I don’t complete the course modules every week?

The programmes have been set up so that it doesn’t overwhelm you and take over your week. It’s built in small digestible chunks so that every week you can look at a different theme, a different element of you and your business. It won’t take you long, but if life does get in the way one week, you simply pick it up the next week. You have access to the course for six months so you have plenty of time to complete it and come back and complete it again and again.

  • How long will it take me to complete?

Each course is ten modules. I would recommend you do one module every week which will take you ten weeks. But my courses are designed for you to do them at your own pace. Time well spent. Modules will take between 30 minutes - one hour to complete - and then you have to allow your brain time to process the information (that’s the easy bit).

  • What can I expect to achieve from the programmes?

The course is action oriented so you put the work in, so you can figure out what works for you, so you can be confident that you are building and developing a business fit for the future. You are future proofing your business success. The bitesize modules will help you be more efficient, more productive, more creative and crucially mean you are evolving your passion and your purpose. Once you have been through the course, I recommend you use the modules to work through every quarter to give your business a health check.

  • What’s your refund policy?

Complete the modules - all of them, complete all the worksheets, invest in yourself AND if you don’t learn anything about how to press play, how to stop procrastinating, how to look after yourself a bit better so you can thrive, I’ll refund the cost of the course.

You have the legal right to cancel the contract between you and Mind The Gap during the period of 12 hours from date of purchase providing none of the course literature has been downloaded and none of the course undertaken. Should any aspects of the course have been downloaded it is 100% non-refundable.

  • Where can I find out more information about you?

I have a website where I talk about my corporate offering and you can find out a bit more about me, and Mind The Gap, here.

I also write a blog which talks a bit more about my life and my not so smalls. And, of course, all the social channels below.
